As part of this term's English programme, students have been exploring the science fiction genre. Students have accessed an array of well know authors and titles relating to the sci-fi theme.
A large proportion of this scheme concentrated on Mary Shelly's Frankenstein. Students showed an excellent understanding of the themes and ideas underpinning this famous pre 1914 novel. This work led to the completion of sci-fi story openings.
The story openings from students demonstrated good progression resulting in an end of scheme trip to the Plaza Cinema Crosby. This trip was attended by the whole school who enjoyed a screening of 'Victor Frankenstein'.
