Welcome from the Headteacher

As Headteacher at Impact PRU, I am proud to welcome you to our website.

Impact is Sefton LA’s provision for pupils permanently excluded and those who are close to exclusion, from the authority’s mainstream schools at Key Stage 3 & 4. Split over 2 sites, KS3 Oakfield campus in Formby and KS4 Dale Acre campus in Netherton, we provide a personalised curriculum to support some of the authorities most vulnerable students, who have previously struggled in a mainstream setting.

The aim for our experienced, friendly and dedicated team, is to help re-engage our students, by addressing their emotional and behavioural barriers to learning, in order for them to either successfully re-integrate back into a mainstream setting, or where that isn’t possible or appropriate, support them in the transition to a more specialised provision.

At Key Stage 4, our students study the core subjects up to GCSE level, as well as ICT, PE, Catering and Art. In addition to this, they also gain further qualifications through Alternative Provision and from September 2023, will attend a weekly work experience placement in year 11.

More than anything, Impact offers a caring environment, where the students feel safe, and with the help of a variety of professionals and support services, we are able to address and meet individual pupil needs and prepare them for the next stage of their lives.

Hope you enjoy looking round our website.
