Impact Sefton Secondary Pupil Referral Unit

Fairbridge is a national charity supporting young people aged 13-25, the aim of Fairbridge is to build confidence, motivation and develop skills required to retain or progress into a level of education suited to the individual.

Every young person starts Fairbridge in the same way, on a 10day Access Programme.

Young people are challenged and encouraged to focus on their abilities and strengths in order to empower them with skills they need to focus on education and training.

Each young person involved with Fairbridge is supported to identify the specific skills they need to develop, from within our national syllabus, and create a programme of courses that meets their individual needs.

Community and recreation skills

At Fairbridge learning often comes through having fun. Challenging activities like abseiling or mountain biking teach team work and responsibility while many of our courses involve young people working as part of their local community.

Spirit of Fairbridge

Fairbridge's 92 foot sailing boat Spirit of Fairbridge offers a unique experience for young people that are approaching the end of their Fairbridge journey – giving them an ideal opportunity to put the skills they have learnt with us to the test.
